Villa Vereda al Valle: Vinales
Villa Vereda al Valle is one of the nicest places to stay in the Vinales Valley. It’s a sleepy rural setting, right in the heart of the valley, surrounded by tree covered limestone peaks (mogotes). It’s a truly privileged setting, especially in the early evenings when the sun starts to set and the colours in the valley become so beautiful.
The house is owned by a lovely couple, a Cuban and his French wife. They have a background in art and interior design and have renovated the property beautifully, combining modern chic with rustic natural materials, and a pop of Cuban colour.
All guests staying here are looked after by a small local team, who are just so lovely and welcoming. They prepare breakfast each day and you can request dinner and drinks. There is also a communal garden and thatched dining area, and a semi-permanent swimming pool shared by the guests. From the villa, its an easy 10 minute stroll along a quiet road to get into the town of Vinales.
One house with four suites and a team to look after you:
The house is split into four separate suites. There is no Sky TV, no Netflix, no 4G and only intermittent WIFI but you are compensated with stunning views, birdsong, peace and tranquillity, and glorious sunshine.
All rooms are air conditioned and have large fans, plenty of space, beautiful bathrooms, very comfortable beds, and large patios so you can relax in the sunshine.
Bamboo Suite (Sleeps 4): This relaxed family duplex has one room with a king-sized bed, and a second room with two single beds, one of which is a cosy wall mounted bed (suitable for a child). There’s a spacious polished-stone bathroom and an outdoor patio with a dining table, a hanging chair, and loungers.
Guano Suite (Sleeps 4): This suite has one king sized bed and one double sofa bed, both within one open-plan space. There are bamboo blinds mounted on the ceiling that can drop down between the beds, to create a bit of privacy. The suite has a modern bathroom and an outdoor patio with loungers and chairs.
Platano Suite (Sleeps 2): This open-plan room has a queenside bed and modern shower, and a wide door leading outside. The patio area has a small table and chairs, and a hammock.
Premium Almendra Suite (Sleeps 4): The downstairs floor is open-plan and has a double sofa bed, a small dining area, and a beautiful kitchen with an incredible view from the window. Adjoining this room is a fabulous shared bathroom. A set of stairs leads up to a mezzanine floor, which has a king-sized bed and a little seating area.
