The Details
Costa Rica is world-famous for the diversity of its impressive flora and fauna, and on this Wildlife and Nature Self-Drive Holiday you’ll visit and be enchanted by the famous National Parks of Tortuguero, Arenal and Manuel Antonio.
You’ll also explore lesser-discovered areas such as the Cloud Forest at Bajas del Toro, where you’ll find Costa Rica’s most spectacular waterfall – the Cataratas del Toro.
The highlight of this trip though is without doubt the Osa Peninsula, a hidden gem. Osa is home to Corcovado National Park, an area of protected primary and secondary rainforest which is, according to the National Geographic, the most biodiverse on the planet.
Experienced nature guides will help you to spot the highly camouflaged and slow-moving sloths, cute coatis, maybe anteaters, perhaps a tapir, energetic hummingbirds, toucans, iguanas and if you’re really lucky, the elusive puma.
We’ve written this as a self-drive itinerary but if you’d prefer to have comfortable transfers, let us know and we can tailor the trip for you.
