During your adventure you’ll travel from Caribbean to Pacific, North to South. We’ve written the holiday as a self-drive trip (after Tortuguero) however if you would prefer, the journey also works well with transfers throughout. You’ll have a comprehensive tour of the country, from San Jose to the watery world of Tortuguero, iconic Arenal, more arid forests in Rincon de la Vieja, Monteverde with it’s famous cloud forests, idyllic Manuel Antonio, Corcovado’s incomparable biodiversity, and Quetzals in San Gerardo de Dota.
There really is something for everyone and, whatever you choose to do, you can guarantee you’ll be surrounded by stunning natural phenomena. We’ve packed the itineray with the guided nature experiences we’d choose ourselves, to make the most of your precious time. We can tailor the trip to your preferences and so whether you’re looking to throw yourself into observing nature, or include some adventure or culture-focussed activities either gentle or much more involving – or perhaps a mix of both – you’ll be immersed in a magical paradise.
We think the main reason to travel here is to see the menagerie of creatures that are throughout the land. Take a guided nature walk, go turtle-watching, join experienced guides for early morning bird watching or join a guided night-time nature walk.
However for those seeking activity, Costa Rica also has it all: kayaking, paddle-boarding, white-water rafting, horse-riding, surfing, diving, or visiting coffee or cacao plantations… the list goes on.
