Monteverde Lodge
Set in the middle of the cloud forest and surrounded by landscaped gardens the wonderful Monteverde Lodge is a rustic, enchanting and tranquil haven where you can really appreciate the sounds of the tropical forest.
The centrepiece in the reception area is the huge open fireplace. The twenty-eight spacious rooms on both the ground and first floor have wooden floors. and large windows that look out into the gardens and forest from their private balcony, garden terrace or corner bay window.
All rooms have Wi-Fi, A/C, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, but no television or minibar. There’s a solar-heated pool and jacuzzi, and lovely gardens stepped down into the cloud forest. The outdoor pool is a particularly lovely place to swim when it rains!
The in-house naturalist guides are keen to share their knowledge of birds, orchids and animals which can all be found around the hotel’s trails. The El Jardin Bar and Restaurant prepares traditional Costa Rican cuisine with a twist and always uses local produce.
