Food Tours in the Faroe Islands
You’re likely to get to try Faroese food on several of our tours/experiences, but the tours below are our favourite tours that are specifically built around food.
Tórshavn Food Tour
Take this carefully curated culinary tour through the capital of the Faroe Islands. Tours usually last 2.5 to 3 hours and you’ll stop off at 6 or 7 different places to sample local food and drink including hidden corners and tucked-away spots known only to locals. Along the way, discover the stories behind each dish and location while enjoying perfect photo opportunities in some of the most picturesque quarters of this Nordic capital. The vibrant harbour life, winding cobblestone lanes, and colourful wooden houses create an unforgettable backdrop for your culinary adventure.

Farmer’s Food Tour
In Klaskvík, the second largest town after Tórshavn, and main town in the Northern Islands, you can have a unique food tour with one of the oldest farming families in the Northern Islands starting in their sheepshead where you will be served traditional, Faroese appetizers from their farm, hear some stories about their family-oriented farming life and rich ancestral history, while first hand experiencing the life of a farmer in present day Faroe Islands.

Tórshavn Beer Walk
If you’d rather enjoy a guided walk around Tórshavn with a beer in hand then you can join an organised beer walk. Walks usually start at the Mikkeller pub before heading to the 16th century for at Skansin, throught the cobbeld streets of Tinganes, before finishing at the Oy brewery.
