Hotel Hafnia
The Hotel Hafnia is a boutique-style hotel in the centre of Tórshavn. Originally opened in 1951, the hotel was owned by a series of local families before it was taken over in 2018 by Smyril Line (who operate the ferry that runs from Denmark to Iceland via the Faroe Islands).
Hotel Hafnia has two options for food on site, Bistro Hædd and Café Kaspar. You can also head next door their restaurant Katrina Christiansen, one of the best in the whole of the Faroe Islands. Guests of the hotel can also enjoy free access to the local gym, so you can keep up with your fitness routine whilst away.
The hotel is close to the harbour, so is well situated for trips to Nólsoy and Suðuroy. It’s also an easy walk to the many restaurants and shops in Tórshavn. It’s also close to many of the main attractions of the city, such as the government buildings of Tinganes, the pretty Viðarlundin gardens, and the national gallery.
