Elegant Desert Eco Camp, Sesreim
If you really want to escape from it all, the Elegant Desert Eco Camp feels like a real adventure! These canvas tents in the gravelly mountains of the Namib Desert look deceptively basic from he outside, but step inside and you will find a comfortable bed, from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the desert. Each tent has it’s own decking area, and you can even push your bed onto the decking if you want to sleep beneath the stars. Guests dine in the tented restaurant, and can cool off in the mountain-top pool.
In terms of location, you are close to the Namib-naukluft National Park, where you can climb onto the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, stroll amongst the burnt skeletal remains of trees in Deadvlei, and walk through Sisreim Canyon. If you really want to treat yourself, you can book a hot air balloon experience and sour above the desert, for the most incredible aerial views.
