Villa Grande Visao
It’s no accident that the city sits within a natural amphitheatre – it’s seafront centre and the surrounding suburbs are protected by the high hills of the Monte, which help sustain the capital’s temperate year-round climate. Located in those very same hills, Villa Grande Visao looks down on Funchal from above – with sweeping views across the whole city, backed by the teal-blue of the Atlantic ocean.
The villa’s typically-Madeiran – an open plan family-friendly living space, with a comfortable lounge/diner and a well-equipped modern kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows help blur the line between indoor and outdoor living – opening onto a large, south facing sun terrace with a private swimming pool and alfresco dining area. There are four bedrooms in total – two double rooms and two twin rooms: all ensuite and all fully air-conditioned. We recommend including a hire car during your stay and there’s private double garage on the ground floor.
