Vila Tranquilidade
This detached, new-build villa is in the remote parish of Prazeres and has an unbroken sweeping view out across the Atlantic ocean. The open-plan living room/kitchen/diner area is on the ground floor and opens out onto a south-facing sun terrace and outdoor pool. There’s also a second, roof-top sun terrace, where you can relax in the evenings to enjoy the south coast famous sunsets. There are four bedrooms in total, two doubles and two twins, all on the ground floor. Heading downstairs, there’s also a lower ground floor with a games room and a small gym.
Due to its remote location, a car is essential. Dropping down to the coast from Vila Tranquilidade, it’s a ten-minute drive into Jardim do Mar whose pebble beaches and big waves are popular with local surfers. Paul do Mar is just twenty-minutes way, and its narrow streets and alleyways are home to some of the best fish restaurants on the island.
