This four acre estate has been owned by the Zino family for over seventy years and is a wonderfully peaceful oasis right in the heart of the Madeiran capital.
There are three, one bedroom cottages which have been carefully converted from their working origins into comfortable home-from-homes which retain the traditional character of their past lives. Casa do Feitor is the largest of the three – it’s a 1st floor casa with a double ensuite bedroom, living room, and kitchen/diner with a small balcony. Loja da Lenha (which is on the ground floor underneath Feitor) has a similar layout but without the balcony, and Casa das Vinhas is slightly smaller with a living room/diner/kitchenette. Outside, there’s a shared swimming pool and garden – perfect for relaxing in the shade of the banana groves.
Funchal’s main seafront Avenida do Mar, shopping district and marina are a twenty-minute walk away. Including a car in your holiday will allow you to explore the island at your leisure, but it’s not crucial – if you’d prefer not to drive, our drivers and local guides will be happy to show you around their beautiful island.
