Quinta da Bela Vista
The award-winning Quinta da Bela Vista is located in the Sao Martinho district of the city, just outside the bustle of downtown Funchal but still conveniently close. The sea front Avenida do Mar and the Old Town district are just a five-minute taxi ride away, and the quinta also offers a complimentary minibus service to-and-from the centre throughout the day.
There are eighty-nine rooms in total: garden view rooms, superior and deluxe rooms, junior suites and a penthouse – with views across the sub-tropical gardens and out towards the bay of Funchal. The décor is elegant, classical-Madeiran and the attentive staff help create a relaxing, home-from-home feel.
There are two excellent restaurants on site, three bars and a library, an outdoor heated swimming pool, solarium, sauna, gym and a tennis court.
