Hotel Porto Santo and Spa
Designed by renowned architects Eduardo Anahory and Pedro Braamcamp, the hotel’s ninety-four en-suites rooms are spacious and light thanks to their clean, elegant décor and private balconies. For families, there’s also a two-bedroom villa available with it’s own private, secluded sun terrace.
Wellness and relaxation are the focus at the spa, with two massage rooms, a turkish bath, hot and cold plunge pools, hydro massage, vichy baths and hot sand therapies available. The large outdoor pool and sun terrace lead you through the palm trees and rolling dunes to Praia das Pedras Pretas – just a small section of Porto Santo’s seemingly endless beach, which stretches 9km along the sunny southeast coast of the island from Ponta de Calheta to Porto Santo marina.
The island’s main town Vila Baleira is a five-minute taxi ride/twenty-minute stroll down the beach – it’s a warm and welcoming town, with an excellent selection of restaurants and cafébars serving the best Madeiran cuisine.
