These one and two-bedroomed apartments have open-plan lounge/kitchen/diners, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the cobbled Rua de Santa Maria below. Bedrooms have king-size beds and share a bathroom (with a bathtub/shower). The Restaurante Taberna Ruel is on the ground floor of the building – in the evenings, the Rua de Santa Maria famously becomes one-long al-fresco dining experience, as the restaurants and bars that line the rua take over, setting their tables out across the cobbled street. All of Funchal’s landmarks are a close by – the marina, the Monte Palace cable car, the Sao Lourenco Palace and the Teatro Baltazar Dias are all a short walk away.
