Casa do Mar
This cosy cottage is the perfect seafront hideaway for couples, located within the Faja do Mar banana plantation on the sunny south coast of Madeira. It’s open-plan, studio-style lounge/bedroom is comfortable and light, opening onto a private seaview terrace overlooking the Atlantic. There’s also a well-equipped galley kitchen and a modern bathroom with a shower.
The cottage shares it’s grounds with four other holiday properties, and an old plantation trail leads you down to the nearby beach, where you’ll find a beach hut, terrace and sun loungers – for the exclusive use of Faja do Mar guests.
We recommend including a hire car during your stay to allow you to explore the whole island, and the nearby harbour town Calheta with it’s excellent selection of shops and restaurants is just a short drive away.
