Casa do Julio
Casa do Julio is a cliff-top family villa overlooking the peaceful harbour town of Calheta. The town is famous for it’s long sunny days and it’s sublime sunsets, and there’s no better location from which to enjoy both.
The casa itself is an inviting mix of traditional and contemporary Madeiran decor, and it’s light, spacious open-plan layout and comfortable antique Portuguese furniture make this the perfect holiday villa for extended families and friends. Large patio doors throughout the ground floor blur the divide between indoor and outdoor living, providing direct access to the impressive seaview terrace which encircles the entire property and the indulgent infinity pool. Not forgetting the sun terrace, traditional covered barbeque and outdoor dining table which all share the magnificent view.
Indoors, an open-plan lounge leads to the dining room and fully-equipped kitchen, with a games room and laundry close by. The upper floor has four bedrooms: an en-suite seaview master bedroom, a second seaview double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (two single beds in each) and a large family-sized bathroom.
We recommend including a hire car during your stay and Casa do Julio is the perfect location for exploring the whole of Madeira – the seacliffs of the north coast, the high peaks of the rugged central mountains, and the picturesque streets of historic Funchal are all a short drive away.
