Mansion Alameda: Trinidad
Mansion Alameda is one of the best examples of a luxury boutique Hotel in Cuba, with unsurpassed elegance and attention to detail. This lovingly restored 19th century mansion holds a unique place in Trinidad’s history. It was here that decorative ironwork was first introduced to Cuba, by the former resident French ironmonger. His craftmanship still adorns windows across the city. It was also the home of Fidel Castro’s wife for a period.
One highlight of this beautifully restored hotel is the peaceful courtyard. There’s comfortable seating around a central fountain, in a gorgeously manicured garden. The garden also has a recently built small pool and sun terrace.
There are ten rooms and the Sunset Suite is certainly one of the most gorgeous rooms in all of Cuba! All rooms are thoughtfully designed, with a chic, urban style that contrasts perfectly with the original tiled flooring and high ceilings. All rooms have luxury walk-in bathrooms, air conditioning, high quality imported mattresses, unlimited wifi, concierge service and more.
The premium Sunset Suite offers two private balconies, referred access to the rooftop Sunset Terrace, luxury all glass bathroom with walk in shower, five metre high ceilings and exposed 19th century brick work contrasts magnificently with the chic and fragrant room design.
The Deluxe rooms overlook the beautiful courtyard and provide direct access to this beautiful oasis. The four Junior Suites are located either in the main house with large wooden framed door windows that open to Alameda Street, perfect for people watching or overlooking the courtyard area with their own secluded garden patio and outdoor shower.
The Mansion offers fine dining in the Brasserie restaurant with local dishes, sea food and specials, all sourced locally. The Patio Bistro provides hearty and healthy breakfasts as well as light snacks into the evening and the air-conditioned bar offers a range of drinks, cocktails and cigars, which can also be served on the sunset terrace.
