Casa Madero : Old Havana
Casa Madero enjoys an excellent location for exploring Old Havana, situated in Santa Clara street and just a very short walk from Plaza Vieja and Plaza San Francisco, two of Havana’s most famous squares. All the main sights of Old Havana are in very easy distance on foot as well as many of our recommended restaurants and bars.
Lisy and Juan and their small personable team are very welcoming and approachable, and operate their casa like a small boutique hotel. The Casa enjoys a contemporary and stylish feel throughout with muted colours and pale woods. El Madero has a lovely small roof terrace where guests can enjoy an evening drink or coffee during the day and there is also a small living area and bar /kitchen area.
Sandwiches and light snacks can be served and the staff can happily prepare a typical Cuban homecooked meal for those guests who wish to relax at the Casa in the evening, although there is not a restaurant as such. However breakfast is served daily and we especially enjoy the lovely local tropical fruit platters that are often included.
Casa Madero features 6 rooms all enjoying a sophisticated feel, modern en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. The standard rooms have a choice of a Queen bed or two Twin beds and for a small supplement one Junior Suite room offers enhanced facilities ,a larger space, king bed and small stand up balcony to watch the amazing street life.
There is also an unique service lift to help carry your luggage up the stairs to the rooms!
