Borinquen Thermal Resort
The Borinquen Thermal Resort is nestled within the Rincon de la Vieja countryside. Designed and created in 1999, this remote resort has beautiful private villas, bungalows and junior suites all with modern amenities and private decks or balconies with great views of the surrounding mountains. There are two restaurants the Rancho El Yogo with its open-air setting and the more formal La Carreta, an elegant hacienda-style restaurant.
In the grounds you’ll find thermal springs with hot pools and volcanic mud as well as a natural steam room, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The fresh air in the highlands is different from the rest of the Guanacaste province where it’s normally very dry and sunny, so come prepared with some warmer clothing when you stay here.
