Spinguera Ecolodge
The Spinguera Ecolodge is situated within the deserted and atmospheric northern coast of Boavista. Spinguera has been created out of an abandoned farming and fishing settlement into a unique, small hotel in which the influence of its artist/creator can be felt.
As well as its rooms, the hotel also has an apartment and two villas, allowing self-catering for those who prefer even more independence. Cooking ingredients can be ordered from the owner – essential, given the isolated location!
Spinguera prides itself on its ecological credentials and harmony with the local environment. Electricity is provided by a combination of solar power and a generator. Guests should note that there is no mobile phone coverage available here, though Wi-Fi is available free of charge in the reception area and the lounge bar, which is open to non-residents. If you’d like to dine in the restaurant you’ll need to book in advance and we can of course help with this.
Boavista’s wonderful coastline is a mere five hundred metres away from the hotel. Please be aware that due to the winds and currents, ocean swimming is often not advisable from the island.
If swimming in the sea is important to you during a holiday, then perhaps visit instead the King Fisher Village or the Oasis Tarrafal Alfendega Suites in Tarrafal on the island of Santiago.
