King Fisher Village
The hilltop King Fisher Village is a real gem, with rock steps leading down to the water in Tarrafal, Santiago . The hotel is beautiful and you can awake to the sounds of the ocean waves. The sheltered bay is perfect for diving and snorkelling, and Tarrafal is a lovely little fishing town. This is one of Cape Verdes best beaches, away from the crowds. In the bay, you’ll see the locals gather each day to meet the fishermen coming in with their early morning daily catch. No doubt, one of those fish will be on your plate later that day!
In the original buildings, the suites and double rooms all have private terraces with amazing views of a lovely small cove and the Atlantic beyond. With two bedrooms, the exclusive Seaview Suite is ideal for families or bigger parties, but even the smallest sea view double has a small fully fitted kitchen.
There are two newer blocks containing new rooms and the restaurant. Superior Sea View rooms have private balconies looking over the cove and restaurant area. Or there’s the Exclusive Sea View rooms whose private balconies immediately face the sea and are a romantic escape from the world.
Swiss chef Flavio is in charge of his onsite restaurant. You’ll be seated on the terrace surrounded by palms and right by the sea, fresh fish will always be on the menu as well as other delicious dishes prepared by sociable Flavio and his team. All diets are catered for here.
The village is self-sufficient with on-site renewable energy powering it’s own desalination plant to provide otherwise-scarce water to the resort. Nearby to the King Fisher Village is a great dive school where we can help arrange your snorkelling and diving trips.
