Hotel Xaguate
Hotel Xaguate is located on a small headland just on the outskirts of the town of Sao Filipe. Here it’s peacefully away from the centre, yet it’s just a short stroll down to the main square.
It has all the facilities you might expect from a four-star including a pleasant pool area with sun terrace, a massage service, a bar and free Wi-Fi.
There is a 24hr reception. Breakfast is continental style buffet in the restaurant room. At present the restaurant isn’t operating in the evenings but there are good options a short way away in town, or you can ask reception to arrange a taxi which should be about £1 each way.
A short walk will take you down to the attractive town of São Filipe, with its traditional, colonial-era sobrado architecture, local bars, restaurants, a museum and the lovely dark-sanded beach front.
