Hotel Oasis Atlantico Praiamar
The Hotel Oasis Atlantico Praiamar sits on the craggy coastline of Praia – overlooking the sea.
It’s a great place to head for when you arrive on the island of Santiago. The hotel is well situated, with beautiful sea views and cliff top terraces, allowing you to feel fully immersed in the rugged coastal landscape. There are two rocky beaches close by and this is a great base for sightseeing and exploring Santiago’s walking trails.
The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff and excellent options for dining. The breakfast buffet always gets good reviews and is at the Prainha restaurant, located on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You can start your day sipping a morning coffee, whilst looking out over the water, listening to the waves crashing over the rocks. For lunches and early evening meals, there is a pool-side bar, offering both Cape Verdean and International Cuisine, as well as grilled meat and fish. Sushi is served from Wednesday to Saturday, made from local sourced fish. Rooms service is also available for those who would rather relax in their room. In the evening, you can enjoy music and cocktails on the clifftop bar, a highlight for most visitors.
The hotel has one hundred and twenty three rooms and there are plenty of options, including four suites and some rooms that offer pool or garden views. There are connecting rooms available for families and a baby cot or extra bed can be provided in any of the bedrooms. All rooms have king size beds, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, room safe, minibar and hairdryer.
The central swimming pool has a poolside bar, and sun-loungers all along the edge of the pool. There is a shallow children’s pool right next to the main pool and both are open all year round. There’s also a sauna, jacuzzi, gym and tennis court, so there are plenty of options for everyone.
