Hotel Foya Branca
The Hotel Foya Branca is right on Sao Vicente’s golden Sao Pedro beach and is just fifteen minutes from the city of Mindelo.
The resort-style hotel is set in spacious gardens and has three freshwater swimming pools, one of which is for children. There’s also an on-site gym and tennis court. Other activities which can be arranged are windsurfing, fishing and boat hire. The hotel has its own dive centre and mountain bikes are available for rental. And of course you have direct access to what is arguably the island’s best beach.
The sixty-eight en-suite rooms include suites, triple rooms and doubles. All have air conditioning, safe, TV, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and balconies. The newer part of the hotel offers bigger rooms all with sea views. There are also six ‘villas’.
The hotel restaurant has an excellent reputation and caters for vegetarians. There are also three bars, and a snack bar.
A regular free shuttle bus takes you to and from Mindelo if you’d like time in the city. Locals make the reverse round-trip to enjoy the wonderful beach at the weekends.
