Whale Watching
Baja is most famous for is its Grey Whale population which, for a short few months can be observed in the lagoons along the Pacific coast. This is without doubt and an amazing ‘close encounter’ experience as you often find yourself alongside these gentle giants and their calves as they try to interact with us.
Blue whales can be seen in the Sea of Cortez on the eastern side of the peninsular, these the largest mammals on earth filter feed in the nutrient rish waters of the region in the spring.
Humpback whales can also be see in the Sea of Cortez and tend to be a little more energetic the the blue and greys, especially if you see them feeding on bait balls of sardines.
All trips are based on boats of varying sizes, with life jackets and briefings on safety and what you might see.
