Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Stand up paddle boarding is possible in many places in Baja and often avaiable as an activity through the hotels you might be staying at.
Loreto is a good example and is particularly beautiful when looking from the sea. Mountains tower over the palm tree-filled oasis and the old colonial town. The sea gives a different perspective and a feeling of freedom hard to find on land. Watch pelicans glide by at eye level and observe frigate birds trying to steal a meal. If you’re lucky, you may see a bluefooted booby plunge into the sea for a fish, or a whale blow in front of Isla del Carmen.
