Hotel La Huerta
The Hotel la Huerta in San Ignacio is one of those lovely little surprises in life where first appearances can be deceptive.
There are 3 types of reasonably-priced suites, all of which are tastefully decorated in a contemporary Mexican style with AC and WiFi. There is an excellent restaurant on site for those not wanting to walk the short distance into San Ignacio.
The San Ignacio river passes through the region and turns part of this desert landscape into a fertile oasis. The road north takes you to the Ignacio Lagoon (part of the Vizcaino Biosphere National Park), which is an excellent spot for observing Gray Whales.
Whether passing through, or staying for a few days, the Hotel la Huerta makes for a great base for exploring this part of Baja.
