After the hiatus of the recent COVID years – where we thought it best not to put ourselves forward for any awards as travel was near-on impossible – we’re delighted to announce that we’ve been nominated for the prestigious award of ‘Best Travel Company to Iberia/Macaronesia’ – which includes Madeira, Cape Verde, and – of course – the Azores.
For 25 years we’ve been at the forefront of travel to this wonderful archipelago of nine islands. Considering how volatile the world is, it is a thrill to be able to say we’ve been around for a quarter of a century – most businesses don’t get past the first couple of years!
We could say it was all down to us, but in truth we’re only here now through the support of all the wonderful people who’ve travelled with us over the years… and, yes, we also deserve some praise as we’re also very good at looking after people.
Awards are very important to us as they’re a validation that we’re doing the right things. They’re also an important measure of how human we are, as increasingly we’re being manipulated into a world where humans are not interacting with other humans – the digital world.
We see our human input as being a big differentiator between the larger companies who are racing ahead with AI technology and smaller companies, like Archipelago Choice, where human interaction is key to building lasting relationships and creating the best unique, unforgettable tailor-made experiences.
As I said to a friend this week, our aim is to be ‘more human than human’.
