Once upon a time, wild salmon were preserved under ice and stored at The Ice House before being shipped to Dublin and Liverpool. The building has been lovingly and tastefully converted into a spa hotel with a split personality. The original house is now where the ‘heritage suites’ are, with a stately home feel to the furniture and decoration. The modern extension seamlessly integrates with the original building and the copious use of glass brings abundant light into the restaurant, spa and the modern accommodation wing.
The hotel is right on the banks of the Moy, with the modern building constructed below the level of the former quayside.
