Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

Straddling the Palmwag and the Skeleton Coast National Park, this luxurious camp takes exclusivity a step further by only being accessible by light aircraft and having just eight guest tents. Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is located in a remote area of the Kaokoveld with gravel plains and dry riverbeds best explored on a game drive to see the wealth of desert-adapted animals. Included are drives along the Hoanib river valley looking for the occasional oasis that support the desert elephants, giraffe, mountain zebra and antelope, and it’s even possible to fly or drive to the Skeleton Coast for the day. The eight innovative and stylish tents (including one family tent) are made from well-insulated stretch canvas roofs on floating cement foundations. They are huge with ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee station, outside lounge area with mini bar and floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the magnificent views across the valley to the waterhole. The whole camp is fully solar powered and there is an elegant main tent with a dining and bar area again with huge windows, and a lovely decked area with pool for cooling off in.
