The Blencathra ‘Rustic’ Barn was originally built in the 16th century and is situated halfway between Penrith and Keswick at the Foot of Great Mell Fell, and over looks the impressive ‘Blencathra’ mountain range.
This property sits in almost perfect isolation, and can only be reached by farm track. Blencathra ‘Rustic’ Barn is quite large; in fact up to 23 people could be accommodated, but you’ll probably only use half the house!
Due to the current COVID limitations the groups who would normally stay have been forced to cancel.
Ideally suited to bubble and extended families, Blencathra ‘Rustic’ Barn could be the perfect escape for larger family groups. There is a large fully equipped kitchen, with incorporated lounge/dinning area all cosily heated by a rather hefty log burner and underfloor heating.
Outside there is plenty of open space with parking, lawn and large BBQ.
The bedrooms are all based on comfortable bunks – which ads the the adventure of being in deepest, darkest Cumbria.
From the property there are several walks and the nearest pub is 1.5miles away.
